Sylvie Fleury (*1961)

About the artwork

In Fleury’s work, the Geneva-based artist responds to the exact science pursued by researchers at ETH Zurich. She confronts this research with objects from the field of parascience: in the outer area, we see two wristbands that promise health, while in the interior she created two pendulums traditionally used to measure power currents. The objects are magnified to such an extent that they lose their actual function and become spatial installations instead.
