Gottfried Honegger (1917–2016)

About the artwork

The sculpture consists of eight elements lined up randomly but based on a pattern determined by the artist. Although they look different at first glance, the eight elements turn out, on closer inspection, to comprise just two basic modules: a quadrant and a pointed arch. The different arrangement of the same elements creates a sense of variation, which is heightened by the multiple perspectives when viewing the sculpture.
